"if youre nice to people, theyre nice to you back" type shit. what karma mostly means is "if you are good, you get a good rebirth, if you are evil, you get reborn into the womb of someone ignorant/an animal/go to hell for a bit"
what's beautiful about this system is perfect cosmic order is maintained, dharma is upheld, but humans in Earth-like worlds and lower are enabled to think there is no God or even that God is Bad. Total illusion of freedom for the ignorant. God is allowed to forget Herself.
But God is both infinitely just and infinitely merciful. There is LITERALLY no sin that God cannot forgive. And there is no one too evil to experience grace.
Am I privileged by my birth (karma)? somewhat, but also I'm the least well off by several metrics compared to anyone in my immediate and extended family. I am privileged that few people have chosen to do evil to me in this lifetime, though, youre right.
