Doreen’s TV was hardly ever on, as she preferred to chat, or read her magazines. She complained to me about the food, and about how the nurses were rough with her and the other residents, and I believed her.
The head RN on duty was a very stern lady who oozed contempt for the residents, and was none too friendly with the staff, either. She reminded me of the bully who tormented my best friend in 4th grade. She towered over the other 4th graders, as if she was a 6th grader, and not very bright.
