As you mentioned, it is overhyped. In the sense that every product service now wants to attach an AI label to it. It is quite ridiculous, similar to the trend of everything being labeled as "smart" after the "smartphone." "Smart light bulb," "smart fridge," etc. are just silly.
I suppose that is how marketing works, but it is also confusing for consumer. What does AI (or smart) even mean today?
