"We don't see no riot here, why are you in riot gear?" Was, by far, my favorite chant from the protest.

It was incredibly easy to tell which side I wanted to be on when the cops showed up in force (at least thrice the number of protesters at the camp, though more folks showed up in response) all clad in black armor and eagerly fingering their toys. The ones carrying the paint-ball-pepper-pellets seemed especially eager for any excuse, which we did not give them.
