part of why I was convinced IQ is real is because I took calculus and at the time I was baffled that some of my classmates didn’t understand the very obvious relationships between theorems and shit. Same in my programming courses.
Made a lot more sense when it was explained that lower IQs have a hard time with abstraction and keeping track of multiple variables while problem solving
