**Men's archery team clinch gold in Asia Cup**
KUALA LUMPUR - The national archery squad pulled off a spectacular feat by winning the team gold in the 2023 Asia Cup Level 1 championships in Touyuan, Taiwan today.
The team comprising Mohd Juwaidi Marzuki, Mohammad Syafiq Md Ariffin and Muhammad Alang Ariff defeated India 226.225 in the final of the men’s Compound event.
Kazakhstan had to be satisfied with the bronze medal after beating Thailand 228-223 in a third-fourth playoff.
Meanwhile, Juwaidi added a bronze medal to his team gold from the individual men’s Compound event after beating Paul Marton De La Cruz from the Philippines 146-141.
