Basically, instead of following polls where people were self-reporting who they were going to vote for, the guy who had $30 million riding on Trump winning this week was looking at polls reporting what people thought their neighbors were voting for. The assumption is that people aren’t truthful to pollsters and project their own politics on to their neighbors."
