It's useful to keep in mind that social media as we've known it is dying. It will continue in some forms, but with the splintering of the user universe and the upcoming deluge of government regulations on content, user-to-user comms, formal ID requirements enabling tracking of all users by the government, and so much more regulatory and political interference, it will never, ever be what it was. It's all downhill from here, but it will take time and we don't really know how far down the bottom actually is.
