the fallout from Crowdstrike is also a stark warning of how many real life "boots on the ground" IT jobs have been eliminated over the years (otherwise it wouldn't take as long to restore the affected machines - most folk have forgotten how much work was put in to update systems in late 1990s so the Y2K bug didn't bite everyone in the arse)
