gender conformity is an important part of the reproduction of capitalism. this is not because capitalism cannot possibly tolerate the existence of any queer people; nevertheless, there is a pressure on the working class to remain "viable" i.e. fertile, and to birth and raise the next generation of their class—this pressure is placed overwhelmingly on women or people assigned female at birth (hence anti-abortionism), but not exclusively so.
trans and queer people, no matter what gender, risk losing their fertility with hormone therapy and surgery. this is a choice we make! what transphobes fear is that people break away from the "biological imperative" of reproductive sex, for the same reason they fear abortions, birth control, condom usage, and casual sex.
they deny these choices, not because they are dangerous in themselves, but because they allow the indolent sinners to get away with their sins and avoid their holy duty of reproduction. but it is not holy because it is christian, it is holy because it improves the future prospects of the labor market... for the buyers.
