I managed a network of servers that I helped design and deploy in 25 cities when Y2K rolled around. My income was such at the time, that the bonus to monitor servers during the New Years celebration far outweighed my need to celebrate. Plus, what better way to spend it? The CTO called me right after midnight and asked how we were. The only thing that broke was a Perl script I wrote. I remember getting in the elevator to go home, and pushing the lobby button with trepidation, but it worked fine.
