This simulation has 10x as many Kuiper Belt objects as we actually expect to be there (to help us plan pointings more precisely).
Unlike with other observing, small bodies in the solar system keep moving, so if we don't find them this year, the "cloud" of objects will have spread out even more, and the positions will be even more uncertain.
Our main program (on CFHT) is all queue based, so we program observations and telescope operators take them whenever conditions are good.
