"content": "personally I'm not picky about whichever mechanism a feed uses to notify the world of updates (including rss cloud, avail in about 8000 feeds) - the fact that they do it at all is enough - it's information that only they can provide, no amount of outside polling can suitably replicate\n\nthe thing that websub has going for it is that it's a protocol, not a platform - so, like rss, it'll be around long after whatever Hive is goes away",
