I like their idea, especially for decentralized bootstrapping and ICE signalling. I'm just experimenting with NAT-PMP at the moment to expose a port on the router, similar to BitTorrent, but ideally P2P networking would also work over VPN. Maybe an Arti Tor hidden service could also be embedded once that's supported.
