"content": "I field tested my new BTech UV-PRO for APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) tracking this morning during my ruck in the woods. The UV-PRO can be connected to via bluetooth and the KISS protocol. No, KISS is not the glam rock band with fuzzy hair, high healed boots, blood, fire, and makeup. But KISS is a protocol and stands for Keep It Simple Stupid. I used APRSDroid on my phone that runs Graphene OS. There are some places in the woods that the radio couldn't reach the APRS repeater. But overall, it worked quite well.\n\n https://image.nostr.build/724dafa6e66539d5db171b9273cfc0cb6039b8ae12a0f372ead0cc365d994d66.jpg \n https://image.nostr.build/0a32d641ebdc15ac91734e1a50b37c18e0808d2413b4068533fae89e63bb18c4.jpg \n https://image.nostr.build/34d554e5867150150c59e4f2598caee220cc328e291eaefe60614dc1313f01fc.png \n https://image.nostr.build/8350a7408dac48f1fc05a86e8812e65ebb35cb1164ffb9b0d09e4abfbfc4b08b.jpg \n https://image.nostr.build/6a2e448ac8e628a51b1a8734e937a87bc05d7fa944c92ea441a3278b004f0c42.png \n https://image.nostr.build/311115e989087cd681088b92e1fb0b9429757b17cf1f752326baa3756004f749.png \n https://image.nostr.build/05808832478c305936b475d3535d2ef25d9c397a3f452f8089c1d18f2c0b0666.png \n#hamradio #aprs #aprsthursday #btech #btechradios #aprsdroid ",
