Penrose is awesome. I've read some of his stuff and looked at some of his math, pretending to understand it more than I do lol. I want to build an office with the floor tiled with Penrose tiles, probably so expensive I'll never do it, but a man can dream.
But yeah, I argue against AI being intelligent or a mind for 3 reasons, that, but also that it's isolated on a chip, and then, that it may not even be possible to create a mind at all. What I'm sure of right now is that no AI in existence today has ever created anything novel and I am also certain that's not just due to a shortage of power or complexity.
