Interesting that they're going with a (good old!) analogue desk, rather than digital. Is that a choice of audio preference or because it's clearer to teach with everything physically laid out and 'instantly' there, hands on? Or a combination of both of course.
Nicely done on the kick drum, you'll get the best of both worlds there and also maybe get into a bit of fun using both and playing with phase and delay.
What a great resource that course is!
