Latency/ping time?
Retries?
MTU?
TCP window scaling size?
Send receive buffers?
Actual throughput?
If HW offloading is enabled?
CPU usage, hopefully tied to the components in question?
Record size for related storage systems?
What else?

I have a nagging/sinking feeling that the existing tools rarely communicate the larger picture.
