it does not clarify. In 1945, the Soviets claimed that 4 million people died at Auschwitz, and the world believed 6 million total jews died. Today in 2023, we believe that 1.1 million died at Auschwitz and 6 million total jews died. This means that either today we are over counting the total number of dead jews, or they were under counting the total number of dead jews. Which is it.
