I'm very uncomfortable with the media framing of this issue, the focus on 'misinformation ' and 'false claims'.
If the claims were 100% factual, if an asylum seeker had literally just jumped off a boat and begun a massacre, the Fascist's reaction of attacking randomly mosques and brown people wouldn't be in any way justified.
The focus on blaming social media is a way of avoiding the real problem: Fascists.
