In half an hour we're watching Project Moonbase (1953) for #monsterdon! Alas, due to the way hashtags proliferate, the posts need to be public rather than unlisted for the whole thing to work¹, but fortunately Mastodon offers a timed mute feature that lets you disregard the entire hashtag for the full two hours!
(I still don't like that this makes it opt-out, but... I hope it's an OK compromise.)
