Relatedly, I liked the broadcasting of daily life and making home movies and things with instagram before I deleted my account there.
Pixelfed I don't think has that kind of "story" function if I'm not mistaken. Then even if it did, it wouldn't be the same until enough people are on it, 'cause, for me at least, posting a story there was a way to broadcast something to a lot of "IRL" friends at one time without targeting one of them specifically or expecting a response. So even Pixelfed with "stories" wouldn't work like that until it becomes more popular. Signal stories might work.
