Chapter 8 of "Software Design by Example in Python" looks at functions and closures. I didn't initially plan to write it—it's not really in keeping with the theme of the book—but the frustrated looks on learners' faces the first time they tried to write multi-parameter decorators convinced me I had to lay some groundwork.
