I don't think it's a mistake to become aware of the what we generally take for granted. It's these things that will disappear when the SHTF.

Also become aware of those influencers using fear & guilt to influence your action. You have nothing to be scared of or guilty for.

Altruism is a commie illusion. All humans act in the belief that they will be better off for that action. Don't fall for the virtue signalling. It's ok to want to live in an environment where humans are thriving but it's a selfish desire, which is also ok.
