I'm curious - did you test the output of the power supply, both when idle and under load (streaming video, button pressed, etc)? I went through a similar, but less flammable, issue with a different doorbell cam where my brand new transformer would occasionally spike from the rated 18v to 48v (!!). The doorbell didn't suffer permanent damage, but it did reboot every time it happened. Apologies if I missed it in the vid.
