There's a lot of value for it, my main argument against it is that there is yet to be a person or team that can demonstrate it's usefulness at all, yet alone at scale.
My only hope is that there are smaller pieces that can take advantage of it without it needing to be a huge full blown WoT-thing. Biased example, a small part of our app uses WoT for mint discovery but otherwise is not a WoT app.
