I never understood the anger people got over this.
It was always a planet, it just got redesignated as a Dwarf Planet. Just like Dwarf animals are still that species of animal. A Dwarf dog is still a dog.
I did notice the common thing people would say was "An American discovered Pluto, that matters".
Then I bring up the other Dwarf Planets in the solar system & mention how Eris is bigger than Pluto & they don't care.
I just shake my head.
