No! Bitcoin solved this for the money part. For other examples, you know if you can trust somebody to welcome them to your house.
I think we should be improving self-custodial solutions, not doing "better custodials". If it's custodial, it can be 10000x better, but you will have the same big risk: the custodial running with your money.
