I don't think we should worship him, but I can understand people looking for role models right now. A lot of men for instance grow up without a father, either because he isn't there, he is busy working or doesn't give them guidance. There are a lot of mothers in a similar situation now, having to go to work and being tired after it. So people turn to their peers, the trends or whatever is in the culture that they consume... whether heroes in films, celebrities or youtube personalities. We used to have communities or extended family to pick up the slack too, not so much anymore...
