In less stressful news: we found *another* surprise batch of chicks this morning. We had noticed some scratched up straw in the (theoretically) chicken-proof greenhouse for a couple weeks. Turns out there was a mama hen hiding way up high in a pile of straw bales, who hatched out 5 lovely little chicks! Immediately after we caught the mama, she pooped ALL over me (that's the second mama in a couple weeks to do that...maybe I need to learn a lesson here).
