As a regular exercise, during meditation I contemplate the impermanence of everything in this life. Change is inevitable. I’m not the same person I was a year, week, minute ago. Nothing is static. People always get hung up on change. Not me. I observe it, acknowledge it, and move on. This is necessary for personal growth and inner peace. I’m not emotionless, but it helps keep me from getting wrapped around the axel over anything.
