Imagine a row of skyscrapers linked together and the space in between them filled in with more skyscraper, a "linear city"; a possible form of the Arcology concept for integrated ecologically-harmonious high-density city. Reduced surface area to volume makes for more efficient A/C & heating, and it can be placed so as to channel winds to wind generators.
