I always point people to Guy Ritchie's interview on Rogan. He describes the parable of the Prodigal Son and his interpretation of it, how he sees the young man and his older brother as the same person, but at different times in his life. The young brother spends his fortune on hedonism, whereas the older brother is loyal, frugal and helps his father.
He suggests we all have to go on the same path, searching for happiness through belongings, possessions and what society has told us will make us happy. It's a necessary journey that inevitably leads us back home and to the realisation that once our basic needs are met, happiness and fulfilment comes from family, roots, gratitude and inner realisation.
I couldn't agree more. Bitcoin has become an important part of that journey for me. Being able to relax about the future, knowing your basic needs are likely to be met allows us to plan without fear.
