I'm trying out Apple News+ (got a three month freebie).
You can't turn off the sport tab if you don't care about sport. It shows SO many stories about pop culture and Royal/celebrity fluff. A profile of an actor I haven't heard, and a piece about Celebrity Big Brother get glossy images and 2x the screen space of pieces on Biden's policy on Israel and Gaza, or an upcoming SCOTUS case.
This seems in contrast to Apple's 2019 goal when setting up the service as "supporting quality journalism".
