Here's one example from me: An attorney who is well-known in the area of law I write about (but not beyond that) started being an obnoxious reply guy on Twitter. When he incorrected me on points of design patent law, I couldn't let it just stand; people who knew who he was would assume silence on my part was agreement with him.
