I think people who look like resilient are also stressed or broken. They have chosen not giving up, or just haven’t been able to give up, so it looks like they are able to keep going. They are struggling and want to give up, but they may be able to hide weaknesses, so they look like resilient or not giving up. But they have probably broken plenty of times, maybe not in front of people. I think you are right, they are surviving. We are all surviving, I think 🤔
