They’re still learning and proving the protocol (and making major changes to it, as they learn). It’s a moving target. They do supposedly have a sandbox environment where federation is enabled for testing apps, but it can’t communicate with the main community on Bluesky.

I decided not to bother developing for it anymore. It has a few good ideas, & these ideas could be adapted to ActivityPub.
