I want you to imagine that America is at war with another country. And in this war, the combat is bitter and brutal. So brutal that 1 in 4 US military personnel have suffered serious wounds: maiming, lifelong injury, and even death.
The enemy attacks at any time, day or night. They have no respect for religious or cultural boundaries. They will just as happily launch an offensive on non combat civilians as they will soldiers. They attack adults and children with equal glee.
Not everybody in this war thinks this is right. But nobody in the other nation does much to stop these war crimes either. In fact they tell jokes amongst each other about how weak we are as a nation, and how much better they are as people.
This war is real. The nation is men. And the 1 in 4 they harm is women. THAT is why it's all men. Until the day you stop killing and raping us, and taking pleasure in it amongst yourselves, it's all men. You wouldn't argue if it was an army of men being assaulted every hour of every day by some foreign country. You would feel justified in saying it's the entire nation. You only argue because it's us.
