If you receive money or stuff in exchange for the post/announcement/whatever, that's an ad.

Shouting out your own or your friends' or partner's things should be fine.

So me posting about my own stickers is fine. Me boosting an artist's merch store would be fine.

Me accepting money to talk about how an artist's merch store? not fine.
