I knew this young alto saxophonist, Sarah Hanahan when I lived in Hartford. I met her as a freshman at U of H and knew she was exceptional. Over 4 years there she honed her skills and matured her sound. She had great teachers in Rene McLean and Javon Jackson, and was strongly influenced by the music of Jackie McLean. Since then has been very successful playing in clubs around NYC. Currently, Sarah is on tour in the US and Europe with Joe Farnsworth Quartet. #jazz
