That's really hard when soup is a completely dry block.
For t-shirts and delicates I don't use a dryer, as it's too harsh. Without outdoor drying, you can't beat it for towels and bedding though.
I have a indoor clothes airer and a dehumidifier for winter drying.
I also by sodium percarbonate in bulk, because it's also good for other non bleach cleaning jobs, like stained cooking pans.
Vinegar softener user here too. It's also good for neutralizing any unrinsed washing powder.
