You can always look at mods for your particular brand or board itself. Foam, poly-fil, tape mods, switch lube, etc. O-rings can dampen the noise, sure, but they can really mess with the typing feel and they’re not all that popular for a reason. You may not mind them, though.

In short, there’s plenty you can do, and some of it requires more work than other things. But in the end, you won’t eliminate all of the noise.
