Possible it's not the right word but I meant the kinds of insular communities that exist on places like reddit. Where you see only posts that agree with you (everything else is downvoted) and are not allowed to say anything that deviates from the group's ideological biases (or you will be expelled/unfollowed).
Other similar terms are: echo chambere, circle j*rks, etc.
