My Dad has this old microscope - probably 1960's. I've often thought about it as I go about my various experiments on the farm. Recently, I asked if he still had it. He does, and he's going to bring it up on loan this morning.

Ultimately, I'd like to figure out if a digital microscope would be a worthwhile tool. One part of me thinks it would be incredibly valuable. The other part thinks I'm being silly and it's a rubbish spend of $400. Hopefully I'll learn which part is right.
