Let's talk relationships.

Just saw a post about a lady telling her man he wasn't the kind of man she'd just hook up with, but marry. He got weirded out and asked for space. The person who reposted it said that was NEVER a compliment.

Wow.
My husband and I met a lady who'd been dating for many years, they'd previously lived together, but she'd moved dur to work and now he wanted to move in again. She felt scared to tell him that she wanted them to start saving for a wedding, if he was to do that.
Our advice was to tell him, and let him be a part of how much he'd think was realistic, but if he couldn't handle it at all, she'd still be okay. She'd mourn the end of that relationship, but then she'd find someone else who wants what she wants.

There are men out there who want marriage and who want to be fathers. When a man like that meets a women with similar standards and dreams, he'll snatch her up quickly.
But if she doesn't have those dreams and standards, or at least isn't showing them, but compromising herself because she thinks men just wanna sleep around, the man with standards won't give her a second glance.

I got my husband because I knew what I wanted, and so did he, and when we talked, we matched on a lot of things, and knew that marrying each other was a good idea.
As some people thought it was quick, we told them, "we ran out of reasons to wait", as we had explored all the things necessary to know we could have an amazing life together as partners.
He married me 68 days after our first date.

So, if you're dating someone who's dragging you along, maybe even talking about marriage, but isn't doing anything about it, ask them honestly, and make a plan, and if they're not interested, cut your losses and go find someone who's willing to marry you, because if you wanna be married, that's a good thing and someone really wants to be married to you, but you may not have met them yet.

I wasted almost 4 years on someone who only used me, not realizing it at the time. I was married to my husband less than a year after cutting that dysfunctional gaslighter out of my life.
