It is the right choice to not support 32bit hardware for upcoming #FreeBSD releases. The manpower and other resources are better used on other things. And the support will be available for many years. Most of the hardware will be unattractive by then. In addition nobody will stop you from running old software on old devices anyway. Just don’t put it on the network.
