Congratulations 🥳 Jersey Cow, Jen has had a gorgeous bull calf. These cows belong to Amy of https://instagram.com/blundestonhousefarm this farm is one of only 3 Calf at Foot Dairies™️ in the UK! Amy runs her Jersey Cows with her Belted Galloway Cattle. This little boys dad is a ‘Beltie’ bull & is is already showing great hybrid vigour, Amy says he was up off the ground within minutes of birth, suckling from mum. He walked into the parlour with mum within 24hrs so Amy could take some of Jens precious colostrum since after he’s had his - the cows calf always gets first dibs, Jersey cows give loads of colostrum, so there’s plenty to freeze, saving it for any future calves or lambs who may have problems within the first few hours of birth.
All going well, It won’t be long before Amy has some of her beautiful CAFD raw milk to sell as long as that little boy doesn’t scoff the lot because apparently he’s a very hungry lad, get yours while you can before the udder is empty 😬 never forget that at a Calf at Foot Dairy the cows & their calves come first 🙄
