Discovered the `/api/v1/instance/peers` endpoint tonight, it returns a list of all the server my mastodon instance has ever contacted.

Running it today I see 9555 instances returned, which initially sounded quite large.

But comparing it with mastodon.socials, 70118 peers, it really doesn't sound so large.

But if that's correct I'm only really interacting with 13% of the fediverse. But who knows how representative mastodon.social is of the #fediverse
