if you ever think things only ever get shittier, just a couple years ago localizers were falling over themselves in a rush to include the phrase “social distancing” in the official English release of every single anime and manga and that’s pretty much stopped completely. sure its probably got more to do with even libs being sick of covid politics than it does any kind of successful pushback, but still. a tiny improvement.
