Not even redditors, literally a NGO doing this. Those "spammy instances" that follow people in clusters seemingly are literally some Ukranian instance funded by a NGO who thinks they can convert Ukranians to use the fedi when the internet goes out again. Namely they use the
https://dcomm.net.ua/ domain, but also ua-fediland.de has had spam users as well.
Turns out slavs prefer Twitter and Telegram.
